URSULA ROBB (Rosas)

Guest International Workshop - July 3-7, 2pm-6 pm, Dublin

Dance Theatre of Ireland are pleased to host the 2nd of their INVESTigations series of workshops for Professional dancers & Choreographers with Ms Ursula Robb (NZ).

INVESTigations is a New Initiative enabling professional dancers & choreographers to work with eminent International Artists in a creative research setting, exploring movement and choreographic structures unique to each Artist. A process focused on what we make, how we make it and what we learn in the creative process.

A long time member of Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker's Rosas Company (Belgium), Ursula trained in New Zealand, performing with the Douglas Wright Company and the Royal New Zealand Ballet, before coming to Europe in 1995. From 1995 - 97 she worked with Wim Vandekeybus until joining Rosas in 1997. She has also performed with Thomas Hauert's, Cie Zoo. As an interpretative artist and teacher she has a fascination and gift for developing "starting points" in the choreographic process. As part of the creative process she specialises in the development & treatment of movement phrases and in enhancing each individual's movement vocabulary. In a "playing ground" where everything is full of potential, she focuses on ways to maximize what we do as performers and creators.

You may register for one day or days at €15 per day or attend the full week @€60

The 5-day course will be held at the Dance Theatre of Ireland Studio, Bloomfields, Lower George's St, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, July 3-7, 2-6 pm.
