| New Work – Love & Death |
In Autumn 2009 Dance Theatre of Ireland will be creating a new work,
Love & Death Ch. By Robert Connor & Loretta Yurick. Concerned with the ecstatic states of love and grief. Few experiences are as universal or as personal as love and the loss of those we love. The extremes of rapture and grief draw us deeply into states of heightened awareness; remove us from the wheel of everyday life; and elevate or plunge us into extremes of consciousness and altering emotions. These states of consciousness will take centre focus for this new work. |

Set up with assistance from the Ireland Funds, this award-winning Outreach programme has had over 49,000 participants to date. Over 150 workshops take place yearly in schools, youth clubs, and community and arts organisations.
